strengthen lives

Help strengthen the lives of other men in the Gunnison Valley and see the reflection of strength in your own life.

mental health

We are here to help facilitate a focus on mens mental health in the north and south end of the Gunnison valley.

Support of others

This is a great place and opportunity to focus your efforts on supporting your brothers, fathers, and sons.

shared community

Its time to reunite our valley. We need to hold each other up and accountable while we navigate this life.

Brothers Helping Brothers in connection with CB State of Mind is a new take on men’s mental health in the Gunnison Valley! In the past 16 months we have lost 13 community members of our community to suicide. Over 80% of those lost to suicide were male, and 70% of those males were between the ages of 21 and 41.  In looking at the statistics and discussions with organizations and community members valley wide, a male focused program is very much needed in our valley.  Many men do not feel that counseling is a tool that would be beneficial to them, they agreed that getting together with other men to discuss the issues they face and learning from others that have been through similar situations would be a way for them to feel safe discussing life and learning from others who may have experienced the same things.

Who We Are

Brothers Helping Brothers

is here to help provide mental health support to the Men in the Gunnison Valley with monthly dinner meetings and activity days free of cost for our participants.

The intention of this group is to provide a safe and substance free space for men to get together and talk.  We have monthly Dude Talk Dinners and activity days scheduled and our organization will cover all of the costs of food and equipment rentals.  Our intention is for the men in our community to create deep connections throughout the valley and know that they are not alone in any situation they are facing.
